It is no secret on this little blog of mine that I love a sale and finding cute items on a budget. I grew up in a household that had a pretty strict budget and Goodwill was a standard back to school shopping spot for me. That frugal mindset has never really left me. Though I love fashion and being on trend, I refuse to do it in a way that affects the family budget or is overly wasteful. I have absolutely no problem thrifting, shopping places like TJ Maxx and Gabe's for brand new on the cheap and Walmart is honestly one of my favorite places to snatch up cute items at unbeatable prices.
Today I am highlighting a dress I picked up at my local Walmart for less than $25. Personally, I have dubbed this the perfect dress for summer. It is cute, it is comfortable and it has POCKETS.
I love the shirred back of this dress because it allows for a fitted look that is flexible and comfortable... it will fit you well before and after taco night LOL.
This button-down look is so on trend right now and this dress gives you all the fashion feels for a fraction of the cost of other brands.
The straps are just wide enough to cover bra straps which is amazing because sticky bras and strapless bras tend to start shifting when you get sweaty on hot summer days.
The belt is removable and can be tied multiple ways to change up the look. You could wear this repeatedly all summer long and style it differently each time.
Oh and did I mention the dress has POCKETS?!?!?! Not only does my heart do a little flip flop every time I have a dress with pockets, but these pockets are also actually legit and are big enough to store things. The skirt is full enough that it doesn't bulge if you do have a phone or car keys in the pocket.
The chambray material is cool but has enough weight to it at it feels very secure and long-lasting. The color is just such a beautiful, timeless blue.
This dress comes in several patterns. I have the Chambray and I absolutely love it. I am wearing the Small and it is a perfect fit (I am 5'4" and 117lbs.)
