New Years Resolutions

I am not huge on resolutions. I tend to think that just because it is a new year does not mean that you need to start over and remake yourself. However, I do find the start of a new year to be a good time to reaccess my goals and plans for the upcoming year. I try to set some simple and possible resolutions at the start of each year.

Here are my plans for 2019!

1. Run a 5K
I have been saying this for years so I am going to say it again this year and hopefully stick to it. I want to start running regularly and complete a 5K this year.

2. Read 25 Books for Fun
I love reading and I am making a point in 2019 to get back to reading more for fun. A friend and I started up an online book club to share our love of reading with others. Through that book club and my own reading plans, I set a goal on GoodReads to read 25 books this year (I know that doesn't seem like that much but I wanted a manageable goal to fit around law school and studying for the bar exam.

If you are interested in joining our book club, you can find more info and the link to join  here:

3. Graduate Law School and Pass the Bar Exam
This is pretty straightforward and fingers crossed I can call myself a licensed Attorney by the end of 2019.

4. Grow My Blog
I am really happy with the growth of my blog in 2018 and I want to keep it going in 2019. So share with your friends and let me know what you want to see more of on the blog!!!

5. Travel to at least 1 New State
I have traveled to a lot of states but I want to get to at least one new one in 2019.

6. Purge my closet
I have way too many clothes. I want to slowly purge my closet and keep only the quality pieces that I actually wear.

7. Find a Job
Going with that become a licensed attorney thing.... I need to find a job at some point.

8. Drink more water
I am HORRIBLE about drinking the recommended amount of water a day. I really need to fix that in 2019. Bring on the water bottles!

9. Exercise 3x a Week
I want to exercise 3x a week in 2019. I hope to do a mix of running, yoga and Tone It Up workouts to complete this. I figure I will need the endorphins while studying for the bar exam.

Happy 2019!
