Friday Five 11/2/18

Happy Friday!

Can you believe it is November already?!?! My cold is almost gone, I turned in the paper I have been working on for 2 weeks and I am done with studying for the day so it's a great Friday at my house! The past month has been crazy busy (which is why I have been pretty non-existent on here). I am so ready for things to slow down just a bit through November before exam season hits with a vengeance.

Now that I have a touch of free time, I can actually catch up on some favorite things to share. Here is my Friday Five!

1. Bohemian Rhapsody
Not sure if I have said this on the blog before but I LOVE classic rock. I love it more than current music. Give me The Beatles over Shawn Mendes all day long. I have always loved Queen (my favorite song is Somebody to Love) and I have been counting down the days until the release of Bohemian Rhapsody which is about the life of Queen frontman, Freddie Mercury. I find Queen's music to be absolutely timeless, full of surprises and impossible to listen to without singing along. Freddie Mercury is a dynamic figure in rock and roll history and I can't wait to learn more about him. The movie looks so well done. My husband and I have tickets for a Saturday matinee and I am so pumped.

Update 11/3/18: Saw the movie, tapped my foot the whole time and I didn't want to leave the theatre. Simply amazing performance and a beautiful tribute to a musical legend. Highly, highly, highly recommend.

2. Whiskey in a Teacup
I LOVE Reese Witherspoon. She is without a doubt my favorite actress and I find her to be a super inspiring girl boss in every way (after all, she is Elle Woods!). Her book, Whiskey in a Teacup, came out this fall and I finally got my hands on a copy. I LOVED it. It is full of so much of her life, her career, her likes and dislikes, and a few awesome recipes. I highly recommend it!!

3. Lemon Tea with Vitamin C
I have been drinking this every night before bed and it's amazing! It's caffeine free, has Vitamin C to ward of the Fall colds and tastes great. Perfect for late night studying on cool nights.

4. Hallmark Channel on Sirius XM
I do not think it is a secret that I am obsessed with Christmas and I love Hallmark Channel movies. This year Hallmark upped their game and released a Hallmark Channel on Sirius XM radio. It is full of holiday classics and just gives me all the Christmas feels. So that will be playing in my car for the next two months... no shame!

5. Outlander
Droughtlander is almost over! This Sunday, season 4 will premiere. I am obsessed with this show. It has everything: drama, action, romance, history and a dash of sci-fi. It plays on Starz and I cannot recommend it enough!

Have a great weekend!
