Get to Know Me

Hello! 

I have noticed a pretty large group of new followers and readers so I decided to do a little "get to know me" post. I am a naturally nosy person so I always love reading posts like this from other people. 

For those who don't know, I'm Brandy- the blogger behind The Legal Duchess. I am a third-year law student at a small law school in Ohio and I aspire to be a criminal prosecutor. I am 24 years old, I am super short and I live in a little blue house with my husband of two years and our three precious dogs. I love baking and home DIY's, I spend too much time binge-watching Netflix and sleeping in on a Saturday morning is my personal version of heaven. I stay up too late, drink too much caffeine and chocolate is my weakness. I grew up on a horse farm and I have competed nationally showing horses throughout my entire life. I love to travel almost as much as I love being a homebody. I keep my circle small and my dreams big. 

Here are some random and obscure facts about me:

1. I enjoy few things more than a good book. I get attached to fictional characters and wish I could just walk onto the pages of Pride and Prejudice. I used to get in trouble in middle and high school for reading novels under my desk in class 
2. My favorite color is green 
3. I named one of my dogs Garth Brooks because he is my favorite artist of all time
   
    
4. Fall is my favorite season- give me pumpkin everything
5. I've read the entire Harry Potter series in its entirety at least 6 times... Gryffindor for life (also today is Harry Potter's birthday)
6. I am quite possibly the biggest history nerd ever and was a History Major in college
7. I am married to the only boy I’ve ever kissed and we have been together since we were 15 years old
   
8. I am deathly afraid of all kinds of birds 
9. When I was in High School, my parents were the "strict parents" on an episode of Worlds Strictest Parents so I got my 15 minutes of fame on TV (I am in green)
   
10. I am not naturally blonde- it is a choice made possible by an amazing hair stylist 
11. I m extremely OCD, I make lists like it's my job and everything in my life must be color coded and labeled. 
12. I have never outgrown Disney, have a Disney Princess CD in my car for road trips and went to Disney World for my honeymoon
    
13. I am an introvert and I can be very shy and nervous in unfamiliar social situations... but once I get comfortable, I will probably talk your ear off
14. I never take naps during the day 
15. My DVR is literally full of Hallmark Channel Christmas movies... my guilty pleasure 
16. My first car was a 1994 red Dodge pickup truck with no air conditioning and a radio that only worked when it was 65 degrees or higher.... but oh how I loved that truck and made my then boyfriend/now husband drive us to senior prom in it
    
17. I want a pet cow (Scottish Highland Cow to be exact) and I want to name it Bubbles. 
18. I have a horrible case of resting bitch face.... 
19. My favorite book of all time is called The Hot Zone and it is about Ebola (don't judge until you read it)
