Friday Five 8/10/18

Happy Friday!

I am usually happier on Fridays but I take the MPRE tomorrow so I am seriously stressing about that at the moment- wish me luck!

In other news, I had a very productive week around the house and I am starting to get myself ready to go back to school very soon. I came across a few exciting things for my Friday Five this week so here they are!

1. Anne with an E

So I am not sure how I have missed this on Netflix until now but this is seriously the cutest show. I absolutely love historical dramas and this one is just so lighthearted and fun. I binged right through the first 2 seasons in less than a week. I loved reading Anne of Green Gables as a young girl and this just brings it to life so well and the casting is spot on. I have my fingers crossed for season 3!

2. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Pie Society
This movie comes to Netflix on August 10th so I am trying to finish the book before then. I have been wanting to read it for a while and just kept putting it off but once I saw the release date for the movie, I moved it up the list. So far it is a wonderful read about a fascinating time in history. I haven't finished it yet but I have a feeling I will be recommending it highly once I do. Also, the movie looks fabulous!

3. J. Crew Factory
J. Crew Factory is basically my Achilles heel for clothes shopping. I love it and the prices can't be beaten. They have some awesome sales going on right now for back to school. It is a great time to stock up on some business casual clothes for law school, legal internships and eventually work attire.

4. Harry Potter is coming back to theaters!!!
Probably the thing I am most excited about on this list- they are bringing Harry Potter back into theaters from August 31st through September 6th at all 141 Cinemark XD locations around the USA. I remember going to the movie releases of the movies when they first came out... we always had so much fun waiting in big lines at our local theater with a much of other HP nerds wearing robes and carrying wands until midnight to watch the magic come to life. There is no doubt I will make it to one of the showings to relive the magic of Harry Potter on the big screen.

5. Dog Days

As many of my followers know, I have three precious dogs and I am pretty much obsessed with them. So it is no surprise that I cannot wait to see this movie. It has a great cast and looks absolutely hilarious and adorable. It comes today and I am hoping to catch the matinee on Sunday!

Enjoy the weekend!

P.S. With lots of new followers lately, now seems like a good time to like to reiterate that absolutely all of the posts on this blog and any opinions contained within those posts are completely my own. I blog purely because I enjoy it and want to encourage and help others. Every item I suggest to you or recommend is because I truly find it helpful (and sometimes I get reimbursed for my opinions but please know that I will not suggest anything unless I do truly feel it is a good product). I also strive to be 100% authentic- I don't hide the truth even when it is ugly because that would not be very helpful for people who may be experiencing the same troubles (like how I have not hidden the fact that I once failed a class in law school and had to retake it #transparency). Everything you see on this blog- be it right or wrong- is my own work and ideas... though I do love getting reader requests for blog posts and do my best to provide those posts when I feel I have the knowledge to do so. Otherwise, I post what I feel like writing about and what I feel others may benefit from. There are a ton of blogs on the market and everyone has their own unique voice and opinion to share on certain subjects, though the subjects are often the same or similar. I know that I love reading multiple blog opinions on the same thing because I end up with a more well-rounded understanding of that particular thing. I hope to continue this blog to be a voice among the many to provide some small molecule of wisdom and to help readers pursuing a law degree.

  1. Brandy, I LOVE J. Crew Factory too! I wouldn't even say my style is preppy but their clothes are just so cute and classic! Have an awesome weekend! :)

    1. They do have the best deals on quality, timeless pieces! and you can't beat their professional clothes! I spend WAY too much money there but at least the clothes won't go out of style for a long time :)
